The gallery is surrounded by 5 lush acres, with Witches Falls Winery located immediately beside the gallery and other Mount Tamborine attractions like Witches Falls National Park Walking Track and a number of local wineries close by.

Come up to Mt Tamborine for a day or two and visit the Gallery – take a stroll in the Gallery Gardens and be enchanted by the wonderful artwork, sculptures and view the many other works on display in the Gallery – and take in some of the many pleasurable activities available to you as you tour Mt Tamborine.

Glow Worm Habitat Requirements

Glow-worms require permanently moist habitat for their survival and are therefore dependant on rainforests and wet caves for their continued survival. However, rainforest habitat in Australia is shrinking due to climate change and human impacts. The glow-worm cave provides perfect conditions for glow-worms within a controlled environment, therefore, decreasing negative impacts on our local rainforests.

This is an fascinating experience for adults and children alike that you really have to see to believe!

The Walk

Visitors depart from the Rainforest Eco Gallery and begin the adventure on a spectacular elevated walkway through the beautiful middle and upper canopies of the rainforest.

The walkway is a stable, high-tech steel structure enabling visitors to explore these canopies in a safe and secure way. It descends gradually to the lower canopy and follows points of interest including rockpools and waterfalls, a butterfly lookout, local history enclosure and sheltered rest areas along the way until reaching the amazing Cantilever. This is a 40 metre long span soaring 30 metres above the valley, with spectacular views over the creek and the rainforest canopies below. Finally the walk returns along the rainforest floor to the Centre.

Our Gardens
Covering 11 glorious hectares, the Gardens consist of exotic species and the natural rainforest of Tamborine Mountain. Over 25 years, dedicated volunteers have developed this property into the highly-photographic boutique Gardens that they are today.

Nestled snugly in Tamborine Mountain’s majestic natural rainforest, Tamborine Mountain’s very own stunning Botanic Gardens is in a world all of its own far away from the hustle and bustle of neighbouring cities.

Being 500 metres above sea level, Tamborine Mountain has a climate that is cooler and less humid than the lower coastal areas. This allows plants to be grown from cool climate and temperate zones. Flowering cherries, Rhododendron species, Magnolias, Camellias and Maples are a few of the genera on display.

Themed Areas

You will discover interestingly themed areas including the Japanese garden, Rose garden, Bromeliad garden, Wisteria covered pergolas, Perennial / cottage garden, and features such as the lake with its quaint stone bridge and water lilies.


Many exotic species from all over the world thrive in Tamborine Mountain’s temperate climate creating spectacular botanic displays all year round, so no matter what time of year you may decide to visit us, all the seasons offer different viewing perspectives.

Seasonal Changes

Spring – bursting into life is the breathtaking Cherry tree walk, superb Rose garden, perennial Cottage garden, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Prunus and the oh so glorious Wisteria covered pergola.

Summer – cheerful, warm and bright with the blooms of Hydrangeas, Agapanthus, Clivias, Daylillies.

Autumn – showers you in gold and amber with the Maples and Liquidambers

Winter – warms you with magnificent Magnolias, Camellias, and Viburnums.

There is an undercover eating area and picnic tables dotted under the trees throughout the gardens and a large portion is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Public Toilets are available.

Saturate your senses at the Mount Tamborine Country Markets . Held at the Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds on the second Sunday of every month.

Weave yourself through the 200 or so stalls filled with everything from original and exciting arts, crafts, clothing, potions and jewellery, to local fresh and delicious home grown delicacies such as honeys, chutneys, jams, fruits and vegetables. Often stallholders will offer sample products for you to feel, taste, and smell to help you decide what products you like the best.

Treat yourself to breakfast, lunch, a snack or all three. Choose from the many delicious international food and drink stalls. WARNING the aromas do make it difficult to choose just one of anything. You can be tempted by, Bavarian sausages, Dutch profiteroles, Thai omelettes, Chinese and Mexican cuisines, fresh fruit juices and smoothies, good old fashioned burgers, toasted sandwiches, corn on the cob, and coffees, teas and cakes. Yum, yum!

Listen to some awesome musicians, watch artists at work, enjoy your children’s laughter as they get transformed with face paints, ride a pony, wreck a jeep or jump merrily on a castle. Or just relax yourself and lay back on the green grass under the blue sky and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Held the last Sunday of each month opposite the Tamborine Mountain State School, this quaint market features stalls with bric-a-brac, clothing, tools, antiques, country furniture, odds-and-ends, books, produce and even rare oddities can sometimes be found.

Frequented by the locals and tourists alike, the market is very family friendly with a lively atmosphere. Kids activities, entertainment plus a wide assortment of food and drink to give you the energy required to fossik and bargain hunt.
